Her and my second dad were incredibly happy until he died in 2001. When people hear that my mom has been widowed twice, they usually mention how sad and unfortunate, but to tell the truth, she says she is incredibly lucky: she married her best friend and had great happiness - twice. Most people don't even get it once. The greatest gift my mom gave my sister and me after our dad died was that it's okay to laugh again, to love again, to live again.kcterrilynnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13531823806841801437noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1410599077591449670.post-18418616411902102572010-05-10T16:01:20.972-06:002010-05-10T16:01:20.972-06:00You are absolutely a gift, and that is a great way...You are absolutely a gift, and that is a great way to look at it.

I married a man with two kids (not a widower - he was divorced). Yes, it is baggage, but he is absolutely a gift to me. He is 100% the right partner for me. His kids are teaching me things about myself that I never knew. The whole package, baggage and all, is a gift.

Your total package will blow someone away. Never doubt that for a second. (Oh, and make sure HE blows you away, too!)Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09859038927236521812noreply@blogger.com
